Hi, I’m Matt Dirksen founder of Matt Fishing Co.

We are a professional, private sport and fly fishing company in the pristine Fraser Valley, British Columbia - home to some of the best freshwater fishing in the world.

Our goal is to work as a team to create your fishing trip of a lifetime - one that each season will keep you coming back for more memorable moments - along with some great fish stories.

Personal Life

Fishing found me as a young boy on Okanagan Lake where I rowed my Lil’ Red Hootie boat for hours each summer day. Watching the sun rise, eagles soar and hooking and reeling in endless trout on the end of my line.

Throughout the seasons I had the privilege of being mentored by some of the finest fisherman. Learning the art of fly tying, while a member of the Canadian Fly Fishing team - we showed well during international competitions and built life long friendships. Being involved was a great anchor and incentive to keep my grades up, while teaching work ethic, patience and persistence.
